4.14.12

The moment when one became two, two became one, and life became complete.

High on the sweet, sweet nectar that is love and life it is still difficult to describe the full spectrum of emotion experienced when our worlds collided and together we chose to remain faithful to one another from this day forward. The most basic vows on paper, "to be yours in times of plenty and in want, in times of triumph and in challenge, and in times of joy and in sorrow" suddenly became indispensable. The simplest promise, "to care, protect, encourage, and cherish" quickly felt substantial. And the easy giving of "our hand,  our heart, and our love to one another" became a beautiful undying test.

Our little ceremony was tucked forty miles away from the prying eye of strangers. Situated off Valley Chapel Road on a little corner called Mt. Hope. Thirty white chairs were placed just so, twenty-nine were filled with navy blue adorned guests and one sat vacant, in memory of those greats who had gone too early. Rolling wheat fields and a modest snow-caped mountain range provided the backdrop. A sky filled with big black puffy clouds advised the rest of the world magic was about to happen. And a lone musician played a lovely tune as the bride met her groom.

Separate we met and linked we became. On a journey together we will learn to love and live through it all. The special moments we share, the friends we meet along the way, the adventures we experience, and the mountains we conquer will become the ink that tells our story. Join us, at this great beginning, as we shape our path less traveled.
